Prerequisites
Physicians who apply to the course must meet the following criteria:
- High level of proficiency in catheter-based intervention
- Board certified in IR, VS or IC
- Fully credentialed to perform peripheral interventions at his/her local institution
- Access to at least 25 high-risk carotid patients annually
- Local institution has established credentialing standards for Carotid Interventions
- Adequate malpractice insurance
Participants must also obtain hospital privileges at the course site, as well as a state medical license and malpractice insurance that comply with the training facility standards. Ciné-Med will assist in this process, which may take as long as 2 months to complete.
The course director will review materials for consideration of acceptance into the course.
